2023 Environmental Summit
Every year, CTLCV Education Fund brings together lawmakers, advocates, policy experts, and members of the public for an informative look at the key environmental issues facing the General Assembly in the upcoming session. The 2021 Summit was held in January. Take a look at our Summit page for all the materials and information. |
Always Know the Score
During the legislative session, CTLCV tracked key environmental and clean energy votes. Now we've done the math and graded how our lawmakers voted on the issues that matter most. We've identified important environmental champions as well as lawmakers who are out of step with the environment. You can also see summaries of the bills we scored, an analysis of what passed, and predictions about what we can expect in the upcoming session. |
Governor's Council on Climate Change
In September 2019, Governor Lamont issued Executive Order #3 to bring Connecticut to a 100% zero-carbon electric grid by 2040 and reinstate the Governor's Council on Climate Change. Over the past year, the working groups of the GC3 have pulled together reports providing the most effective recommendations to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Now is our opportunity to comment on those reports! |
Earth Week 2021 Events
Earth Day 2021 highlights the need to Build Back Better when it comes to environmental issues. When the world returns to normal, we cannot return to our normal ways of operating that pollute the environment and perpetuate environmental injustice. This year, CT RENEWS hosted a virtual lobby day to advocate for major environmental justice bills. On Earth Day, a socially distant gathering will be held at the CT State Capitol to highlight the hard work done towards modernizing the Bottle Bill. Participants are encouraged to bring empty bottles collected in litter clean-ups as visual aids. |
Clean Energy for All Begins in Connecticut
Climate change is THE issue of our generation, and clean energy is key to winning the fight. Join CTLCV in calling on our lawmakers to make sure Connecticut invests in 100% clean energy by 2050 or sooner. |
