2026 Connecticut Legislative Environmental Scorecard Released

Hartford, CT - The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters today released its annual Environmental Scorecard, a report tracking how each state legislator voted on environmental legislation during the 2026 session of the Connecticut General Assembly. 

As affordability continues to be a top concern for Connecticut residents, it remains a central focus for the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters. This year’s Scorecard evaluated certain bills through a lens that considered both how the legislation promoted environmental sustainability and how it contributed to lowering costs for residents and local businesses. Investments in clean energy, energy efficiency, and conservation help support a healthier, more stable, and more affordable Connecticut.

Throughout the legislative session, CTLCV monitored lawmakers’ votes on environmental legislation. The Scorecard offers a clear view of those decisions for lawmakers and the constituents they serve.

CTLCV tracked and scored legislators on 14 bills taken up in 2026, including measures that advanced environmental protections as well as proposals that would have weakened them. The environmental legislation that moved forward will help reduce emissions, expand access to clean and affordable energy, protect natural resources, and address waste challenges facing the state.

“Every year, lawmakers have the opportunity to advance solutions that protect Connecticut’s environment and improve the quality of life for residents across the state. The Scorecard recognizes the leaders who consistently rise to that challenge while providing voters with the information they need to hold their representatives accountable,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director.
