Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) endorsed Nick Gauthier to represent the 38th House District of the CT General Assembly including the towns of Waterford and Montville. Voters have long relied on CTLCV's endorsements to identify candidates who will champion environmental protection.
“Nick Gauthier’s dedication to advancing clean energy and reducing the use of polluting fossil fuels underscores his deep commitment to environmental progress,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director.
As a community leader, Gauthier has consistently pushed his town and state lawmakers towards sustainable initiatives that make progress on clean energy such as geothermal heating and solar power.  He has also fought for the ban on single use plastic bags, organized town cleanups, and is determined to reduce pollution and enhance recycling programs at both the town and state level.
“Nick Gauthier’s proactive approach to addressing environmental challenges and fostering sustainable practices reflects his values and readiness to advocate effectively  for important issues at the Connecticut General Assembly,” said Brown.
To receive CTLCV’s endorsement, all candidates must have completed a Survey on the Environment. Endorsements are issued based on candidates’ responses and demonstrated leadership on specific issues.
