CTLCV Congratulates Gail Lavielle on Victory

11/7/2018

Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) congratulates Rep. Gail Lavielle (R-143; Norwalk, Westport, Wilton) on her victory in the 143rd State House District. CTLCV endorsed Lavielle based on her long record of promoting electric vehicles, clean car standards, and other environmental priorities. She has been one of the strongest allies for the environment throughout her time in the General Assembly, and is one of CTLCV’s consistent champions.

“Connecticut voters spoke loud and clear about their commitment to protecting the air we breathe when they reelected Rep. Lavielle,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “Rep. Lavielle has been a tireless champion for electric vehicles, which give consumers more choices while lowering our emissions and helping us fight climate change. Given the Trump Administration’s gutting of clean car standards, we need Rep. Lavielle’s leadership on this front now more than ever. Clearly her constituents agreed. CTLCV looks forward to working with Rep. Lavielle in the upcoming session to promote electric vehicles and protect our environment.”

Lavielle was one of 36 candidates CTLCV endorsed in the 2018 elections. Live updates on the election—including an up-to-the-minute count of CTLCV’s victories--can be found on our website.
