Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) congratulates Rep. James Albis (D-99; East Haven) on his victory in the 99th State House District. CTLCV endorsed Albis because of his leadership on critical bills to fight climate change and protect the environment. “The 99th District has long been a closely-contested race, and Rep. Albis’ victory today shows being a strong environmental champion is key to connecting with voters and coming out on top,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “Rep. Albis has been a critical leader in Committee rooms and on the floor of the General Assembly when it comes to taking a stand for the air we breathe, water we drink, and future we believe in. He has a tremendous influence over the legislative agenda, and always makes sure to prioritize our environment. CTLCV worked hard to share his commitment with our members and urge them to come out in support of Rep. Albis today. We look forward to continuing our work with Rep. Albis to protect Connecticut’s environment.” Albis was one of 36 candidates CTLCV endorsed in the 2018 elections.
