CTLCV Congratulates Josh Elliott on Victory

11/7/2018

Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) congratulates Josh Elliott (D-88; Hamden) on his victory in the 88th State House District. CTLCV endorsed Elliott because of his strong commitment to fighting climate change and investing in clean energy.

“Climate change is the most critical issue of our time, and Josh’s victory today makes it clear Connecticut voters agree,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “Josh has been a welcome ally at climate marches and rallies, and he was one of the first to sign our Clean Energy for All pledge to move Connecticut to 100% renewable energy by 2050. We were proud to give him our endorsement, and we made sure to let our members know where he stood on the environment. We look forward to working with him in the days to come to promote clean energy and build a brighter future for Connecticut.”

Elliott was one of 36 candidates CTLCV endorsed in the 2018 elections. Live updates on the election—including an up-to-the-minute count of CTLCV’s victories--can be found on our website.
