Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) congratulates Rep. Kevin Ryan (D-139; Bozrah, Montville, Norwich) on his victory in the 139th State House District. CTLCV endorsed Ryan based on his longtime record of fighting for our open space. “Rep. Ryan’s win today makes it clear that Connecticut voters care about protecting our parks, farms, and open spaces,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “Rep. Ryan has long made it a priority to help our communities invest in our future by making it easier for them to purchase dedicated open space. CTLCV made sure our members knew Rep. Ryan is a true champion for conservation, and his victory today shows voters were listening. We look forward to continuing our work with Rep. Ryan in the next legislative session.” Ryan was one of 36 candidates CTLCV endorsed in the 2018 elections. Live updates on the election—including an up-to-the-minute count of CTLCV’s victories--can be found on our website. ###
