Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) congratulates Sen. Marilyn Moore (D-22; Bridgeport, Monroe, Trumbull) on her victory in the 22nd State Senate District. CTLCV endorsed Moore based on her long record of fighting for our environment and public health. “Connecticut voters don’t want to see their leaders gamble with their children’s health, and they made that clear by re-electing Sen. Moore—one of the strongest champions we have,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “CTLCV let our members know we have no better ally than Sen. Moore when it comes to keeping toxics away from our children. We look forward to working with her during the upcoming session to ban toxic mulch from public playgrounds and carcinogenic flame retardants from children’s clothing.” Moore was one of 36 candidates CTLCV endorsed in the 2018 elections. Live updates on the election—including an up-to-the-minute count of CTLCV’s victories--can be found on our website. ###
