CTLCV Endorses Brenda Kupchick for the Connecticut General Assembly

Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) endorsed Rep. Brenda Kupchick (R-132) for the Connecticut General Assembly. Kupchick has been a passionate advocate for animal welfare and a leader in the fight to expand Connecticut’s bottle bill. She has long recognized the importance of preserving our natural resources, and is committed to working with CTLCV to protect our clean water and air and in the next legislative session.
 
“Rep. Kupchick knows expanding our landmark bottle bill is key to keeping harmful plastics out of our rivers, off our shoreline, and out of landfills,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “She has always been a thoughtful leader within her party and across the aisle. Given today’s intense partisan divide, we need leaders like Rep. Kupchick who understand the importance of protecting our clean air and water and can work in a bipartisan manner to make our environment a priority.”
 
To receive CTLCV’s endorsement, candidates must have completed the Survey on the Environment earlier this summer. All candidates running for legislative office were invited to complete the questionnaire, and CTLCV received over 100 responses. Endorsements are issued based on a candidate’s responses as well as additional information provided to CTLCV’s Endorsement Committee.
