Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) endorsed Representative Tammy Exum (D) to represent the 19th House District of the CT General Assembly including the towns of Avon, West Hartford and Farmington. Tammy Exum has consistently earned a perfect 100% rating on CTLCV’s Environmental Scorecard for her entire time at the State Legislature 2022 was like no other for climate action. These wins would not be possible without lawmakers like Tammy Exum, who worked hard to pass the CT Clean Air Act and are committed to the environment. As a member of the Education Committee and the Higher Education & Employment Advancement Committee, Representative Exum holds climate education in high regard as a vital tool in protecting the environment. Since her election to the State House, Representative Exum has helped to modernize our recycling laws and establish a ban on plastic bags. She is looking forward to 2023 where she can help strengthen our state’s Environmental justice laws to prevent additional polluting facilities from being sited in vulnerable communities. “Tammy Exum is a dedicated advocate with values that connect education and environmental policy. She is a strong voice for her district and we need her at the Capitol to continue fighting for us at the state level,” said Brown To receive CTLCV’s endorsement, all candidates must have completed a Survey on the Environment. Endorsements are issued based on candidates responses, their voting record in our Scorecard, and their demonstrated leadership on specific issues. ### The CT League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) is a nonpartisan statewide organization dedicated to protecting Connecticut's environment.
