CTLCV Endorses Terrie Wood

9/13/2018

Hartford, CT – Today, the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) endorsed Rep. Terrie Wood (R) to represent the 141st House District. Throughout her time in the legislature, Wood has been a strong proponent of land preservation and conservation. She also strongly supports water as a public trust, and has been a vocal advocate to restrict single-use plastic bags and promote more sustainable alternatives.

“Rep. Wood knows that pollution isn’t a partisan issue—it hurts us all, Democrat, Republican, and Unaffiliated,” said Lori Brown, CTLCV Executive Director. “That’s why she’s worked hard in her own community and in the General Assembly to protect our clean water and air, and why she is committed to cutting our reliance on harmful plastics. Now more than ever, we need sensible leaders like Rep. Wood who don’t let politics come before public health.”

To receive CTLCV’s endorsement, candidates must have completed the Survey on the Environment earlier this summer. All candidates running for legislative office were invited to complete the questionnaire, and CTLCV received over 100 responses. Endorsements are issued based on a candidate’s responses as well as additional information provided to CTLCV’s Endorsement Committee.
